Today has been a beautiful sunny day here in downtown Saint Paul. In fact, this week has just been great. The universe is supporting us in ways I did not expect. Freddie started a new job this past week at a CPAP company here in the Twin Cities. About five years ago he decided he wanted to go into medical device design. Now he's doing it! It is amazing what a person can do when they set their mind to a goal. He's also going back to school at the U of M for the same subject.
Not only that, but I found something, the perfect thing for me! I discovered an online energy medicine program that lasts for six months through the Four Winds Association. I applied for a scholarship and received it! I now have weekly meetings, new community, and more training about Andean shamanism and the Inca history teachings. I've never been more excited! It's like there is new wind blowing under my wings. In 2022 I started the Medicine Wheel Training with a shaman teacher here in the Twin Cities, Coleen Elwood. That has been so supportive, healing and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to deepen the training that I am already doing.
I'm working on my physical rehab program. I've given myself some isometric exercises to work on daily to help my knee pain. I am still struggling from the deconditioning that occurred in 2020. And I'm trying to get out for more walks now that the weather is a little more mild. It's actually unseasonably mild for February.
Thanks to the kind, compassionate medical care I received at Mayo clinic in Rochester, I have connected with United Hospital here in St. Paul. United hospital is actually less a mile and I've discovered that I can walk. How great is that!? And today I saw somebody for acupuncture so I now I'm getting a break from driving around Minneapolis/St. Paul. I can just take a short walk and have chemo or acupuncture. Life is really good. Really really good. I'm really grateful for these positive changes.
I am in a completely different place than I was in December. I'm so glad that things have turned around. Life feels so rich and full and I am just following the nudge. Listening to my heart. In January I let myself take all the time I needed to get quiet and receive the messages about how I intentionally want to use my time.
And there's more good news! My last CT scan from a couple few weeks ago show that there is no evidence of metastatic disease in my abdomen. This means the liver lesions have gone away. All that was noted were some fatty cyst in my liver, but apparently not cancerous. And, the masses in my breast, on my chest and in the armpit have almost all disappeared. There are two masses that remain, one in the armpit area, and the other in the sub pectoral region. But the masses were so small that measurements were not given. I was told that they might be about 2 mm. So that means that the short treatment that I received was a lot more effective than we thought it would be. I am really impressed and so grateful for the treatment I went through at Mayo. Even though it was hard especially there at the end, I'm glad I went through hell and I'm glad to be on the other side.
So that's what's going on here. The purple finches are visiting our condo balcony. It's so nice to have birds to watch! Brooklyn, our Maine Coon cat, is also diligent in keeping up with her bird watching now too.
